Health Checks

nurse_senior_bpAny patient may request a health check by our practice Nurse. Please telephone for an appointment. New patients signing on with the practice for the first time are welcome to request a ‘Registration Check’. This would be highly recommended for patients with a complex medical history.

Do please make use of the height, weight and Blood Pressure measuring machine in the Mitchell Road waiting room. This will produce a paper print out of your vital statistics which should be handed to the reception desk so the information can be entered on your computerised clinical record.

What Do I Do If Someone Dies?

If someone dies, call a Doctor. There is no need to move the patient. It is a legal requirement for a Doctor to confirm that someone has died. If the Doctor has recently seen the patient a death certificate can normally be issued.

Non NHS Examinations, Reports, Forms and Certificates

A Tariff of all non NHS services is available at both Surgeries. Private sick notes will be charged at £15. Unless otherwise specified, medical examinations and report completion is charged at an hourly rate of £210 per hour or pro-rata per part hour. This figure is subject to change without notice and may attract a minimum charge of £24.50. Medical examinations for special purposes, e.g. sports, elderly driver, pre-employment, insurance medical, HGV, PSV, Diving, Powerboat Racing and Taxi Driving can be arranged with your Doctor by appointment.
